Bookings & payment

• Plan ahead: Please book at least 7 days before your event. All dates are subject to availability; shorter-notice bookings are exceptions and must be approved by us.
• Deposit: A 50% deposit secures your booking once we confirm it. For bookings made more than 14 days ahead, the deposit is due within 48 hours of receiving your confirmed quote. For bookings made within 14 days of the event, the deposit is required immediately.
• Balance: The remaining 50% is due 48 hours before setup.
• Bookings within 4 days: If we accept a booking 4 days or less before your event, full payment is required immediately before we can proceed.
• Choose your package: Please select the package that includes the look you want. Package items cannot be changed or substituted. You may select available add-ons to complete your preferred look; additional charges apply.

Changes & cancellations

• Rescheduling: Request a date change at least 6 days before your original booking date. A US$60 / BBD$120 rescheduling fee applies. Your new date must be within 1–2 weeks of the original date and is subject to availability. Your original deposit will be applied once the new date is confirmed within this window.
• Late changes: For requests made less than 48 hours before setup, contact us immediately. Any changes and additional charges must be agreed before we proceed. The 6-day notice requirement still applies to rescheduling.
• Client cancellations: The deposit is non-refundable once your booking is confirmed. Payments above the deposit are refunded after deducting any additional documented, non-recoverable costs already incurred for your booking.
• If we cancel: You may choose a full refund of payments to us or an available replacement date. Nothing in this policy limits applicable consumer rights.

Property access & authorisation

• Hotels, Airbnbs & villas: Arrange permission and entry before our agreed setup time. Where agreed with the property, leave the key under the mat so we can enter on time; if entry requires a code, provide it to us before arrival.
• Hotel authorisation: Give the front desk our decorator’s name and contact details in advance and authorise The Romance Edit Barbados to enter and complete your décor. Send us your room number and the name of the front-desk agent who approved the arrangements. We will provide our decorator’s details when confirming your booking.
• Access grace period: We allow an additional 30 minutes after the agreed access time to gain entry. If access is still unavailable after this grace period, your booking will be cancelled.
• Food & venues: Accommodation, food, drinks and venue fees are not included. For picnics, you arrange the location and any required permissions.

Décor care & cleanup

• Before checkout: Please clean the room and remove décor waste before checking out. If you would like us to handle the décor cleanup, arrange our optional service for US$40 / BBD$80.
• Collection: Any hired items identified before booking must be returned in good condition. You may keep décor confirmed as yours.
• Extras & travel: Additional décor and travel charges, where applicable, are quoted before payment.
• Outdoor weather: If weather prevents a safe picnic setup, contact us before the event to agree a suitable alternative location or date.
